Member Highlight: The Lookout Foundation

Making A Difference In The Communities We Care About

The Lookout Foundation invests in communities outside our own doors where we can see the results. Its mission is to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education for women, girls, and other underserved groups, and security and privacy rights for all, with an emphasis on partnering with organizations that actively work on improving the ideals of equality and justice for Black and other underserved communities.

The Lookout Foundation is a public charity and a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It is entirely run by Lookout employees on a voluntary basis. Employee-led committees decide where and how Foundation money is distributed, and organize activities to donate time to local organizations.

 In order to provide employees with opportunities to see their contributions make a real impact, Lookout has joined the Pledge 1% movement. It is a commitment to donate 1% equity to the communities in which we operate, 1% of our employees' time to local volunteer projects, and 1% product to non profit organizations. By making the local community a key stakeholder in our business, success means more than profits. It means helping our friends and neighbors.

Neil Yeoh

Founder and CEO @ OnePointFive

Neil is the Founder & CEO of OnePointFive, a Forbes Next 1000 awarded Climate Advisory and Academy with 700+ sustainability professionals across 45 countries. Neil is a BIPOC climate thought-leader sharing sustainability practitioner insights to 14,500+ LinkedIn followers to help them level up their knowledge & competencies. Prior to OnePointFive, Neil was a climate startup mentor for 500 Startups, Plug & Play, and Yale University's Center for Business and the Environment. As Deputy Director at Echoing Green, managing a climate investment fund and post-investment support, he reviewed 2,000+ climate startup applications and invested in and advised 70 climate startups across 20 countries. He helped these startups collectively raise tens of millions in capital to scale their climate solutions.


Neil has written for Forbes and the WEF on innovative climate solutions and startup investing. He was listed as a 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australian in 2022 for global climate impact and has been invited to speak on business and environmental topics at the United Nations, and at Oxford, Harvard, Yale, New York, and Princeton universities.

 

Neil also has over a decade of experience in engineering, consulting, international development, impact investing, and entrepreneurship experience across four continents including with Dalberg, Accenture, and KPMG, and beyond. Neil holds a Midcareer MEM from Yale University, an MBA from Oxford University and has a triple degree in Mechatronic Engineering, International Business, and Management from Adelaide and Hong Kong universities.

Pledge 1% is a global movement that encourages and empowers companies of all sizes and stages to donate 1% of their staff time, product, profit, and/or equity to ANY charity of their choosing.
